The Quantock hills were the first area in England to be designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1956 and it’s not hard to see why this was the case. As you explore the 35 square miles that make up the Quantock hills, you’ll be struck by the raw beauty of this charming landscape.

Home to wild herds of red deer, the Quantocks will really enable you to get close to nature. The Quantocks were a favourite of Wordsworth and Coleridge and are home to the start of the Coleridge Way which takes you to the farmhouse where he was famously inspired to write ‘Kubla Khan’
